I loved Needy Little Things, so when I saw this one on NetGalley, I knew I would be reading it soon. And while I didn’t love it as much, it’s still an excellent book that I recommend. Another great supernatural horror YA book that brings the spookiness.
At Simone’s birthday party at a “haunted” lake, her best friend, Kira, dies, but a witch named Regret offers Simone a deal. She will revive Kira, kill someone else, and Simone must figure out how to remove Regret’s curse within two weeks. If Simone fails, Kira dies again, and it will be Simone’s fault.
This book was great. Simone and her friend/crush, Cory, begin their detective work to discover who Regret really is and try to figure out how to release her from the curse. I loved the mystical aspect, but also the realistic research and problem-solving Simone and Cory have to do. Really fun book.
